Sahar Ajabshir is an assistant professor in the FIU College of Medicine’s Department of Cellular Biology & Pharmacology. She received a $5,000 grant from the Florida International University Research Center in a Minority Institution (FIU-RCMI) Community Research Enhancement Grant Program for her “Needs Assessment for Inclusion of Nutrition Education Services at the UHI Community Care” Clinic project.
In addition, she’s also received an educational grant by the American Society for Nutrition to attend the 2nd International Conference on Precision Nutrition and Metabolism in Public Health and Medicine in Greece as an invited guest speaker from the United States.
