The FIU Advance Bystander Leadership Program has been named Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Platinum Award District Finalist in the category of Best Practices in Diversity Programming.

CASE is a global non-profit association dedicated to educational advancement—alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and advancement services—who share the goal of championing education to transform lives and society.

The US/Canada is divided into eight regional districts representing 50 states and two territories in the US and ten provinces and three territories in Canada. 

FIU is in District III, which covers Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia. Over 1000 applications were submitted for consideration this year.
