A new performance by the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT), University of Michigan, with reception to follow in the Faculty Club.
This performance centers on the relationship between advisor and advisee in a lab setting. How are women and men affected by gender bias– even when they are not themselves the direct target of biased behavior? How can bystanders productively intervene when they witness or become aware of biased behavior? What responsibilities does one have in responding to reports of problematic behavior?
The CRLT Players are visiting FIU with their acclaimed production of No Offense. They create research-based performances that examine current issues in higher education. Using a range of theatrical techniques, their performances engage faculty, graduate students and university administrators in critical reflection and dialogue.
