The committee on Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Increase Diversity and Excellence (STRIDE) is offers workshops each year on Best Practices of Faculty Hiring & Recruitment for those with an important role in faculty recruitment efforts (e.g., search committee chairs and members, department chairs, and other key faculty). These workshops are designed to provide you with background information and concrete advice about practices that make searches more successful (in producing diverse candidate pools, open searches, and hiring the candidates you want to attract).
